Native Plant Propagation Program

The native plant propagation program is currently being reorganized to better collaborate with other groups in Baton Rouge. Please contact our email for updates.

The goals of the Native Plant Propagation Program are:

  • To conserve genetic integrity of wild plants of our area
  • To encourage botanical and horticultural community among native enthusiasts through hands on activities
  • To make available to the public diverse native plant materials that are well suited to our soils and climate
  • To build knowledge of native plant propagation through experimentation, communication and documentation
  • To donate plant materials to significant and sustainable restoration projects.
*Areas where invasive species have been removed
               *Areas that are being reforested
*Demonstration native gardens that are publicly accessible and periodically maintained
